Indra Brugman entered entertainment industry when he was a teenage boy. In 1995, when he was in 8th grade or junior high school, he joined "Aneka Yes" coverboy contest, and he became the finalist. Then he moved to Jakarta to pursue a career in entertainment. Later on, he worked with Multivision Plus in Jinny Oh Jinny TV series with Diana Pungky.
Since Indra L Brugman keep changing partners, many people think and assume that he is a gay person (homosexual). In the late 2006, One of Indonesian TV infotainment explained that Indra Brugman had special relationship with Krisna Mukti (famous Indonesian actor). Moreover, another rumor said that he married to Betrand Antolin in Holland. Aww... ;)
